Truth or Dare is the second chapter of The Quarry. It takes place on August 22, 2021 at 7 PM and 8 PM. The player controls Emma, Dylan, Nick and Kaitlyn as the counselors get everything ready for the bonfire party; Nick again, as he, Jacob and Kaitlyn go to the shoot; and finally Ryan, as the group has a bonfire party.
19:00
Emma and Jacob are shown trying to break into the store. As Jacob tries to pick the lock, Emma films a video where she talks about their forced camping and teases Jacob's muscularity. Emma becomes tired of Jacob's long fiddling with the lock and the interrupt moment occurs, in which she can kick the door or let Jacob finish the job.
If Emma kicks the door, Jacob will act surprised and say that he could have kicked it, to which Emma will reply that he was taking too long.
If Emma waits, Jacob will successfully unlock the door saying “viola”, he’ll offer to return the hair clip but Emma let’s him keep it, Jacob acts proud of himself, to which Emma can be sarcastic or flirtatious.
Once in the store, the couple begins to look around for supplies, but find little, as the campers have bought out everything. This makes Emma go to the storage, where she also finds little except a pair of collectibles and some Halloween props (clown mask and rubber spider), one of which Emma can use to scare Jacob. She can decide whether or not to scare him, if she decides to leave the props she’ll say that maybe she should give Jacob a break, if she decides to scare Jacob she can either use the clown mask or the rubber spider.
If Emma chooses a clown mask, she will put it on and jump out in front of Jacob. However, the prank fails as Jacob finds all clowns funny.
If Emma chooses a rubber spider (which she can do if Jacob found and crushed the spider in Chapter 1), she will have to preform a QTE,
- If she succeeds, she will throw it at Jacob. Jacob squeals hysterically and as Emma laughs, he takes a breath and scolds Emma for the prank.
- If she fails the QTE, Jacob will catch her before she has a chance to scare him, he will tease her for her failed attempt though she’ll deny trying to scare him.
Along the way she’ll pass by a window with a hunter staring in the distance, there other interactions as well.
- She can unlock a cage door, though it will have little effect on the game.
- She can examine some wooden statuettes of the Hackett’s Quarry logo.
- She can also examine the props after using them previously.
- She can examine a map.
- Emma can find a poster for Harem Scarem.
- Emma can find some blueprints.
Finding the door to the unknown room, Emma tries to open it, but finds it deadlocked. She can try to kick the door open (which will be unsuccessful), but either way, Jacob helps pick the lock. The two gets into the store room and are impressed to see all the supplies. Emma stays to hold the door so it doesn't latch while Jacob searches the room. Finding a box of beer, Jacob says they can leave, but Emma decides to look around and finds the shotgun along with the code to the safe.
There some other optional interactions.
- She can find an empty box.
- There are torn bags.
- She can attempt to leave without the gun.
The couple leaves the store and while Jacob is looking for something to bring supplies to the party, Emma opens the safe and finds shotgun shells and fireworks. Jacob offers to take the fireworks for the show and Emma can take them or leave in the safe. As the couple is about to leave, Jacob notices Peanut Butter Butterpops on the shelf. He explains to Emma what this snack is and offers to try it, but she refuses. Either way, Jacob says he found a wheelbarrel and they leaves the store.

19:02
Dylan and Ryan enter Chris's office to charge their phones. After plugging in the phones and waiting for them to charge, Dylan asks Ryan about his podcast. Ryan says it's called "Bizarre Yet Bonafide", which amuses Dylan because it sounds like "boner", and it's about the supernatural. Regardless, Dylan decides to check out the office, but Ryan declines to join because he doesn't want to go through Chris's stuff. Inspecting the office Dylan can:
- Check the phones. Ryan asks if there's anything Dylan can do to speed up the charge, to which Dylan sarcastically tries to encourage them.
- Try to talk to Ryan if he has a romantic partner.
- Find the shotgun. Ryan will explain that he needs it against the bears and ask Dylan not to touch it. Dylan can attempt to touch again, which will annoy Ryan, if he does so a third time, Ryan will grow impatient.
- Look at a photo of Kaylee and Caleb.
- Pick up a telephone and flirt with Ryan or be sarcastic, he will then hear a voice calling his name, he can try to call again but no answer.
- Find the trapdoor. The boys wonder what might be in there and why it is in the office, after which Dylan can decide whether to go down or not.
If Dylan chooses to shut the trapdoor, he will say that he wants to keep what is down in the mystic.
If Dylan chooses to climb down, he ends up in the bunker and finds nothing but a creepy atmosphere. While climbing back up to the top Dylan accidentally damages one of the steps on the ladder.
Regardless, Dylan will find a clue.
Approaching the door leading to Chris's private area, Dylan asks Ryan for the keys. Ryan hesitates at first, but when Dylan promises not to touch anything, he tosses him the keys. Dylan can catch them and act proud or fail, saying he beefed it. Once inside, Dylan can examine the bedroom, bathroom, and wardrobe.
While exploring, he can find various pharmaceuticals in the bathroom cupboard and strum Chris' guitar.
While inspecting the latter, the boys find a secret doorway leading to the surveillance room. After examining the monitors, they find that the cameras are in the camp. Dylan assumes that Chris is spying on them, but Ryan doesn't believe it and says the cameras are placed on trails in the woods possibly to make sure the kids don't wander off. Anyway, Dylan asks why Chris needs to hide the room and Ryan, not finding a suitable answer, says it's none of their business and suggests that Dylan ask Chris about it tomorrow.
Dylan can explore the office more and interact with a few things.
- Look at a wooden board with maps.
- Find a letter regarding Max.
- Look at security camera footage, initially getting board, he can look at it again and if he looks for 10 seconds he’ll see footage of a monster though he’ll try to brush it off.
The boys leave the room and at the same moment their phones are charged. Upon approaching the phones, Dylan can leave them and continue exploring the office or pick them up. The second option advances the plot and and the two leave the office.

19:05
Nick and Abigail are walking down the trail and collecting firewood. As they stroll along, the couple discuss how the woods are quiet without loud children and Nick says that at the same time they are listening to Abi in her art class. Abigail asks Nick if he was watching her lessons as the art cabin is far away, to which Nick replies that he's just passing by a short way. When the two arrive at the fork, Nick asks Abigail which way to go, Shady Glade or Rocky Road, but she suggests he choose.
If Nick chooses shady glade, the couple will go down the slope and follow the path through the woods.
If Nick chooses rocky road, the couple will follow the path along the ravine. Along the way, they will discuss the future and her predetermination by fate.
Either way, both paths lead the couple to a section of trail overlooking the landscape. Abi is fascinated by it and asks Nick to hold the firewood while she sketches the view. Nick can be sincere or playful.
If Nick chooses to be sincere, he will praise Abigail for her talent and that she knows what she is capable of. Abi replies that Nick is capable of a lot of things, too, and figures out what those things are.
If Nick chooses to be playful, he will ask Abigail to draw him, but she says she can't right now and wants to concentrate on the landscape.
Nick sits down not far from Abigail and there is a little silence between the couple. The silence is interrupted by rustles from the bushes, which turns out to be a piglet. As Abigail goes to pet the piglet with tenderness, Nick sees that there is someone else in the bushes and can perform the interruption to push Abi away. A large boar jumps out of the bushes and while Abigail manages to escape, Nick is forced to pretend to be dead. This segment introduces the player to Don't Breathe.
If Nick fails the segment, the boar will leave by running through him. Abigail laughs at Nick, which he can take offense at or joke if Abi sketched him.
If Nick completes the segment, the boar will lose interest in him and leave. Nick runs to Abigail and she starts laughing at the pig situation. Nick can correct that it was a boar or make a joke about having a girlfriend.
Either way, Nick says they should go back and after packing up, the couple leaves.

19:22
Kaitlyn comes to the Firepit and tries to catch the Internet on her phone, but is unsuccessful. She notices a light in the Treehouse and can take a photo when Ryan and Dylan approach her. Dylan says they found Mr. H's secret surveillance room, which shocks Kaitlyn, but she immediately calms down when Ryan explains that these are trail cameras. Kaitlyn talks about her situation and can tell about the treehouse or the Internet.
If Kaitlyn chooses to tell about the tree house (the choice is given if she took a photo), she will ask Ryan if it is his girlfriend and Ryan will start teasing Kaitlyn again with "The Hag of Hackett's Quarry".
If Kaitlyn chooses to tell about the Internet, Dylan will jokingly ask if the satellite hasn't fallen to earth. Ryan assumes it fell in the woods and is about to say "The Hag of Hackett's Quarry," but Kaitlyn stops him.
Either way, Kaitlyn tries to set the mood by saying that they may not see each other again, which prompts Dylan to make a playlist for the party. At this point, Nick and Abigail join the trio. The latter says they've gathered firewood but could have gather more if they hadn't run into a boar, to which Kaitlyn can ask if they're okay or make a joke about "The Hog of Hackett's Quarry."
The group is startled by the gunshot or fireworks, which turns out to be Emma and Jacob. Kaitlyn asks where they got the shotgun and the couple explains it to her, promising to put it away. Jacob presents the party supplies to the group and Nick gets excited about Peanut Butter Butterpops, but Jacob stops him, saying the snack is his. He asks Emma to hand over the shotgun and at first Nick thinks Jacob will shoot over them, he offers to shoot for them and Nick reluctantly agrees while Kaitlyn doesn't support the idea and takes the gun away. Jacob says they need a judge anyway and asks Kaitlyn to go with them as the main party won't die without them. Kaitlyn agrees and after warning the boys not to dicking around, the trio leaves to the shooting range.
19:44
Jacob, Nick, and Kaitlyn head to the shooting range. Jacob brags to Nick for being a "pro marksman". As Kaitlyn goes to set up some targets, Jacob and Nick ask each other about their interactions with their respective romantic interests.
Kaitlyn then shows the guys how to use the gun, telling them to remember the spread and the recoil. Nick goes first
If he hits his target, he can brag to Jacob
If he misses his target, Kaitlyn will allow him to get closer and have another chance
Regardless, Jacob goes after Nick, and misses his target. Nick points out how he thought Jacob was supposed to be an "elite pro marksman". Jacob complains that he is better with a sniper rifle than with a "cannon blaster", all whilst he unintentionally gestures the gun towards Nick and Kaitlyn, causing the latter to disqualify him for "being a dumbass".
Kaitlyn then takes the gun and hits the remaining targets, much to Jacob and Nick's shock.
20:15
The counsellors are all around the campfire. Dylan suggests they play "Truth or Dare", and decides to go first. He asks Abigail, who picks "truth". He asks her if she has ever slept with anyone, and she hesitates. Ryan has the option to interrupt Dylan, telling him to take it easy. Whether or not Ryan interrupts, Dylan will clarify and ask Abigail if she has ever slept with anyone at the camp, and she replies no.
After Abi takes a long time deciding on who to challenge, Emma takes her turn instead and challenges Ryan.
If Ryan picks "truth", Emma will ask him what he was doing in Chris's office earlier. He can respond mischievously or honestly.
If he responds mischievously, he will say they were talking about the Hag of Hackett's Quarry. The others will groan in disappointment, so he clarifies that Chris told him to stop telling ghost stories to the kids.
If he responds honestly, he will say he asked Chris for some life advice. Jacob jokingly interjects that Ryan should use "incognito mode", but Ryan then clarifies that the advice was regarding post-secondary education.
If Ryan picks "dare", Emma will dare him to kiss either Kaitlyn or Dylan. After expressing mild disappointment that he can't kiss them both, he must choose.
If he kisses Dylan, the others will enthusiastically cheer for them during the kiss.
If he kisses Kaitlyn, it will be very brief and no one will cheer. A message reading "Dylan is a little disappointed" will appear.
Regardless of who he kisses, Ryan will comment that he's "always happy to please" after the kiss.
Ryan then has to decide between challenging Kaitlyn or Jacob, since they haven't had a turn yet.
If Ryan challenges Kaitlyn, she will pick "truth". Ryan can either ask her about what she wanted to be when she was a child or about her history with Jacob.
If he asks her about her childhood dream, she will say she didn't have one. Ryan will call out her bluff, and she will admit that she wanted to be a street performer, "like, a mime". Jacob then comments that he has a hard time imagining Kaitlyn as a mime.
If he asks her about Jacob, he will ask if they have known each other since they were children. She will respond that unfortunately, they have. He then asks if they ever "got down to business together", and she says she made Jacob let her practice French-kissing on him in freshman year, but that it never went further because he's a terrible kisser, and that she felt that kissing him was like kissing her brother.If Ryan challenges Jacob, he will pick "dare". Ryan then dares him to jump over the campfire naked. While Jacob is enthusiastic to do so, the others think he would injure himself. Kaitlyn eventually convinces him not to do it, and also takes his turn.
Either way, Kaitlyn will challenge Emma, who picks "dare". Kaitlyn will dare Emma to kiss either Jacob or Nick. Jacob confidently declares that Emma would choose him, but she instead chooses Nick, much to Jacob's shock.
As they kiss for a long time, Jacob gets increasingly infuriated and yells at them. After the kiss, Emma thanks Nick and tells Abi that he was good. Abi appears uncomfortable and walks away into the forest. Jacob then angrily asks Nick if he liked kissing "his girlfriend", and Emma states she is no one's girlfriend. After Nick says it was just a game, Jacob storms off, also heading into the forest. Emma tells Jacob to "grow up", before telling Nick that they should go find their respective romantic interests.
With only Kaitlyn, Dylan, and Ryan left at the campfire, Kaitlyn awkwardly asks if anyone wants to play Parchisi, but gets no response.
The camera cuts to Jedediah and Bobby watching the trio from a distance, before walking off as Jed says "fuck this" (likely after noticing that not all of the counsellors are there anymore or that the counsellors are not indoors to begin with).
