Angus is the Duke of Loch Loud and a supporting character in The Loud House Movie. |
Background
Angus was the groundskeeper of Castle Loud. When Angus learned that the Loud family is vacationing in Scotland, he informs them that their ancestors were once the rulers of the small town of Loch Loud, and guides them to their ancestral castle. This causes the Louds to bask in their new royalty status, and Angus dedicates himself to being Lincoln's right-hand man when he's appointed as the new Duke of Loch Loud.
After Morag manipulates Lincoln into accidentally destroying the town during a dragon ride, Lincoln surrenders the Duke's crown to Angus as the Louds leave Loch Loud. Morag proceeds to crown herself the Duchess of Loch Loud, claiming the Louds appointed her, but Angus protests, earning the citizens' favor, before Morag drives everyone away. The Loud siblings return to Loch Loud, having been warned by the spirit of their ancestor Lucille, and together with Angus defeat Morag. Having realized his real role in the family, Lincoln surrenders the crown and crowns Angus the Duke of Loch Loud with the help of their ancestors.
Personality
Angus is kind and caring for all those of Loch Loud. He has also shown to be cheering and welcoming to Lincoln and his family upon their first visit to Loch Loud. Even when things go wrong for Lincoln, Angus is always optimistic about him putting them right.
Angus has also been shown to be modest, demonstrated after Lincoln admitted that he wanted to be recognized as special. When Lincoln therefore crowned Angus as the new duke of Loch Loud, Angus insisted that he was only a groundskeeper. But everyone agreed that he was the best one because he was like family to them.
Appearance
Angus is a tall Scottish man about the size of Lynn Sr. and Rita. He has olive brown hair with that comes down to his ears, a bushy mustache, and thick dark eyebrows. He wears an oliver vest over a striped long-sleeve with a neck cuff, a pouch on his front, a plaid kilt, knee-high socks, and brown low-heeled shoes.
Trivia
- Angus's catchphrase, "Blow me bagpipes," is a possible reference to "Bless me bagpipes," the catchphrase of Scrooge McDuck, whom David Tennant voiced in the 2017 DuckTales reboot.
- David Tennant also voiced another character of the same name in the 2017 Blue Sky Studios movie Ferdinand.
