A hovercraft (also known as an air-cushon vehicle (ACV) is a certain type of a vehicle that appears in The Crew 2. Hovercrafts work in the sense that they hover on air instead of land. Since there is less friction in the air, hovercrafts experience less friction when hovering in the air than a vehicle would experience when driving on land or water. Because of the lesser friction, the steering behaves differently than other land- or waterbased vehicles typically would.
Hovercrafts made their debuted with the Gator Rush update DLC which saw the release of four additional hovercrafts and nine hovercraft races. All hovercrafts in The Crew 2 are generic vehicles made by the in-game manufacturer Proto that do otherwise not exist in real life. Hovercraft is the only type of vehicle in-game that can both be driven on land and on water.
