Philip Brian Rey was born in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1972, the son of a Vietnam veteran and a schoolteacher. From an early age, Rey was driven not by a sense of duty or patriotism, but by an insatiable hunger for power and control. He joined the Army immediately after high school, seeing it as the perfect platform to hone his skills and rise through the ranks.

Rey excelled in his training, not just due to his natural aptitude, but through ruthless ambition. Selected for the Special Forces, he learned to speak several languages and operate in diverse environments, always with the goal of leveraging these skills for his personal gain. His missions around the world, including Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia, were marked by cunning and manipulation. He earned numerous medals and commendations, not for heroism, but for his strategic brilliance in furthering his own objectives.

MUX History:

In 2004, while fighting the Coil in Europe, Rey's calculated maneuvers caught the attention of the Jugglers. They recognized a kindred spirit in his ruthless efficiency and ambition. Rising through the ranks, he became a Brigadier General in 2020, commanding a Special Forces group based in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. His peers and subordinates respected him out of fear, knowing that his professional facade hid a cold, calculating mind always working towards dominance.

Rey's reputation as a master tactician was only surpassed by his willingness to exploit any weakness, manipulate any situation, and eliminate any threat to his power. His motivations were never aligned with the greater good; instead, they were driven by a dark desire to control and conquer, making him a formidable and dangerous adversary within the military and beyond.

In 2023, recognizing his ruthless ambition and unmatched strategic brilliance, the Jugglers assigned General Rey to G.I. Joe, ostensibly to assist General Flagg in leadership duties. However, Rey's true intentions were far more sinister. Upon joining G.I. Joe, he adopted the codename "Nadir," symbolizing his aspiration to dominate and control every aspect of the organization by using the lowest means necessary.

Under the guise of aiding General Flagg, Nadir began to subtly manipulate missions and sow discord within the ranks. His ultimate goal was to dismantle the G.I. Joe team from within, exploiting his position to gather intelligence and weaken the organization's defenses. With his cunning tactics and cold determination, Nadir aimed to rise above all others, solidifying his reign of terror and control.

Nadir's villainous motives are driven by a desire for absolute power, and his methods are marked by deception and treachery. The G.I. Joe team, once a tool of oppression serving Joe Colton, now faces an insidious threat from within, as Nadir orchestrates his path to supremacy.
