Obera

Obera ｢オベーラ, obēra｣ is one of the first original angels created by Veldanava. She was formerly part of Feldway's Three Mystic Admirals, directly answering to them. In the events of The End of Ambitions, she defected from Michael's camp, and began permanently serving under Demon Lord Milim, becoming part of her Big Four.

Appearance

Obera is a beautiful woman with wavy black hair comparable to the night sky, and eyes that "shine like the stars". She has four vertical teardrop-like markings on her forehead.

Personality

Obera is a very serious and duty-bound individual. She is fiercely loyal to Veldanava, thinking of herself as a faithful apostle of his. She believes Veldanava's will is for Milim's happiness and is determined to ensure that she does not come to harm, viewing Feldway and Michael's actions as running counter to that. Additionally, she sees their goal of reviving Veldanava as misguided, believing that Milim should be crowned as his successor.

Differing from her colleagues, Obera has shown a strong grasp of camaraderie in the way she cherished her subordinates. She has expressed sadness in losing her army, as well as a powerful grudge towards Michael who was responsible. However, she is usually careful enough to maintain her composure and not let her emotions get in the way of her duties, playing to her strengths as a commander. Though saddened by the loss of her army, she nonetheless respects their resolve, following in their example against Velzard by sacrificing her life.

Background

Obera was born at the genesis of creation as one of the Seven Angels of Origin. She was placed under Feldway's command by Veldanava to watch over Ivaragé in the otherworld. Corrupted by the Magicules contained in the underworld, only amplified by Ivaragé's influence, Obera and her subordinates were reborn as Phantoms. She spent most of her years in the underworld fighting cryptids.

Trivia

• Obera seems to have a dislike for insects, as she willingly went out of her way to ask Zalario to handle the Insectars while choosing to handle the Cryptids instead.
