Jitome-chan is a major character in the Getsuyoubi no Tawawa series. She is a full-time shrine maiden and a close friend of Ai-chan.
Appearance
Jitome-chan has crimson-colored eyes and long brown hair with bangs parting to her left. She usually has an expressionless look on her face.
She wears a traditional shrine maiden outfit, complete with a white kimono and red pleated trousers.
Personality
Jitome-chan is a quiet, reserved and serious young woman. She is rarely seen smiling and often has an emotionless expression. Additionally, she has great difficulty in talking to others. Many people consider her to be cold and unfriendly. On the inside, however, she is very caring for the people she cares about, although she also suffers from a lack of self-confidence.

Jitome-chan was adopted into her cousin's family after her mother was "freed from their house" and left the household. During this time, Jitome-chan's cousin was unaware that she was going to be his fiancée and was more excited to have his own little sister. The cousin warmly welcomed Jitome into her new family, supporting her as a member of the family as well as in training as a shrine maiden.
The cousin largely disregarded the planned marriage between him and Jitome, thinking it to be something that only the adults wanted for them. However, one particular instance when Jitome was caught by her cousin undressing was the spark that fueled his interest for his "little sister". Jitome, who eventually succeeded in becoming a full-fledged shrine maiden, was mostly unaware of this until she saw her cousin's frustrations over social media comments targeting her after a ritual dance.
Upon reaching high school, she enrolled in the same school as her cousin. At one point, she asked about what boys usually like in girls, and her cousin slipped out his penchant for big breasts, unaware that the question was not specifically for him.
At the present time, Jitome continued to work as a shrine maiden at the shrine her cousin would inherit in the future. However, she still had a complex over her breasts due to how often it attracted the attention of other people and how it impeded her Japanese archery practice. Jitome purchased undergarments designed to hide her bust size, but upon hearing of a schoolmate who flaunts her breasts with confidence, she pursued the girl to learn more about her ways. The girl Ai-chan soon met Jitome, and she and Volley-bu-chan learned that Jitome had large breasts like her. Jitome also told the two about her current situation and she asked for advice about how to deal with her bust size complex. Both Ai-chan and Volley-bu-chan agreed that Jitome should stop thinking about what others think of her breasts, and they concluded that Jitome's cousin is truly in love with her based on his actions.
Ai-chan and Volley-bu-chan brought Jitome to a specialty underwear shop to buy her first set of appropriately sized underwear. After learning that she has a cup size of between G and H, Ai-chan reminded Jitome of her own struggles as someone with a growing cup size. Fortunately, Jitome was able to choose an appropriate bra for herself. She then stopped using her binders during the summer vacation, which proved to be a challenge as she returned to her old problems while doing Japanese archery practice. Jitome also met Maegami, the previous student council president, in one instance.
