Trev Simpkins was a human who worked as a security guard in the Time Hotel. He was enlisted by the Fifteenth Doctor to investigate the mystery of the star seed and later played a vital role in helping him to make sure that the star seed did not detonate, destroying the Earth. Biography
By Christmas 2024, Trev had seemingly been working at the Time Hotel for some time. On the 25th of December, he encountered the Fifteenth Doctor after he parked his TARDIS in the lobby of the Time Hotel and began making himself coffee. Trev insisted that coffee was for hotel guests only and questioned the TARDIS, asking The Doctor if it was a toilet.
Once the Fifteenth Doctor noticed odd behaviour at the Time Hotel, he enlisted Trev to help him investigate. Trev was eager to prove himself and promised not to let The Doctor down.
However, Trev was given a briefcase containing a star seed by the Time Hotel's bartender, who had been under its influence. Once the briefcase chained itself to Trev, he watched as the two previous holders of the briefcase disintegrated. Despite this, due to the influence of the star seed, he passed the case onto his Silurian manager. Afterwards, as the Fifteenth Doctor tried getting in contact with him, Trev watched as he also started disintegrating. Despite facing his imminent death, Trev was more disappointed that he had let the Doctor down.
Following his death, Trev's consciousness became part of the star inside the star seed and was uploaded to the Villengard communication interface, allowing him to talk to the Fifteenth Doctor through his sonic screwdriver. He was able to tell the Doctor where the star was located. Later on, when Joy Almondo allowed the star seed to enter her, all the individuals killed by the star seed appeared as multiple avatars in one body, including Trev. He gave the Doctor a thumbs-up and declared "Mission complete, sir" before he and the rest of the star seed's victims piloted it into space to detonate safely.
