Henry II (PROSE: A History of Humankind [+]Official Guides (BBC Children's Books, 2016).) was a Plantagenet King of England, the husband of Eleanor of Aquitaine and the father of future kings Richard I and John, (PROSE: The King's Demons [+]Terence Dudley, adapted from The King's Demons (Terence Dudley), Target novelisations (Target Books, 1986).) and Princess Joanna. He was descended from the Counts of Anjou. The Fifth Doctor once claimed that Eleanor had told John stories in his youth about one of Henry's ancestors who had been married to Melusine, Satan's daughter. The eldest of Henry's sons, Richard, became king in 1189. (PROSE: A History of Humankind [+]Official Guides (BBC Children's Books, 2016).)
