Emperor penguins (genus: Aptenodytes) (PROSE: Mission: Impractical [+]David A. McIntee, BBC Past Doctor Adventures (BBC Books, 1998).) were black and white flightless birds that lived in Antarctica. Their habitat was gradually destroyed by the industrialisation of Antarctica. They were extinct by 2040.
