The Queen Ant (クィーンアント) is an enemy in Suikoden.
Description
It is first encountered as a boss on Mt. Seifu, then encountered as a normal enemy at Seek Valley.
From its name, you may be reminded of a queen ant, but in reality is a truly hideous monster with a female's upper half on the body of a giant winged ant. It traps intruders in antlion pits. Its magic power is very high and usually appears leading a group of Soldier Ants, so it is assumed to have high intelligence. The Queen Ant, which nested deep in the cave of Mt. Seifu, was sent to the underworld by Ted, who wielded the Soul Eater Rune.
Story
When the group made their journey on Mt. Seifu, they encountered the Queen Ant here, triggering a battle. After three turns, the battle couldn't be won, forcing Ted to reveal and use the rune he was hiding from everyone. The 3rd level magic spell was unleashed from the rune, literally engulfing the boss in the process.
Later the enemy was encountered as a normal enemy at Seek Valley.

**Note: The Queen Ant fought as a boss cannot be defeated. The battle will end automatically after three turns, or the game will continue if everyone in your party dies.
