The Imp is the worker unit of the Infernal faction,[1] and the lowest of their kind.[2] Imps sacrifice themselves to build structures.

Development
The Imp was previously just called the "worker." It appeared in concept art, and at the time, the developers weren't sure if it would make it to the final game. While most Infernals are designed to be "dark and gritty," the worker is an example of levity within the faction.[1] Concept art depicts it as having an "ignite" ability.[3]
