The Iconia System is a system located in the Iconia Sector of the Beta Quadrant. On of its planets, Iconia, is the homeworld of the Iconians.
System description
The homeworld of the Iconian civilization, Iconia was almost destroyed by a massive orbital bombardment approximately 200,000 years ago. The population of the planet was believed to have been killed, although some survivors may have escaped through their multidimensional gateways. Ancient texts describe the Iconians as "Demons of Air and Darkness" and report that they can appear at will anywhere in the galaxy without the use of starships.
Structure
In sector space, two planets are visible around the central star. Iconia is the second and outermost world and itself surrounded by two moons, the innermost being larger than the other. The system features a ragged purple nebula within a black space full of stars. There are no asteroids but two Data samples.

Missions Involved
- “Taris”: In 2409, "Praetor" Taris and her Reman guards hide in an undergound base on Iconia, guarded by Commander S'hanclado of the I.R.W. Intrakhu. After defeating the ship, Starfleet players find out that Taris and Hakeev were responsible for the Hobus supernova and the resulting destruction of Romulus and Remus. The player subsequently takes Taris into custody, although she maintains that Hakeev was truly responsible (as he betrayed her), and that the player is now culpable by preventing her from contacting the Iconians to reverse history and restore Romulus. Back in orbit, the I.R.W. Leahval, commanded by Empress Sela decloaks demanding the extradition of Taris. After a Starfleet taskforce commanded by Captain Va'Kel Shon warps in, Sela withdraws and Taris is transferred to the U.S.S. Belfast.
- “Uneasy Allies”: In 2410, the Andromeda Dyson Sphere jumps to the Iconia System, marking the Iconians' return to the Milky Way.
- “Midnight”: After traveling 200,000 years into the past, Kagran, the player, and Sela hide their ships in orbit using the magnetic field above Iconia's poles.
