The Herald Sphere is a small Dyson sphere inhabited by the Heralds. It serves as a control center for the Iconian gateway network.
Description
The Herald Sphere was constructed by the Heralds and is referred to as "a temple to their Iconian masters.", from which they can move ships across the galaxy during the Iconian war.[1] It is located in the Iconian Sphere System outside the Andromeda Dyson Sphere, close to the Iconia system. Its architectural style is notably different from the style of the bigger, Solanae-built Dyson spheres like the Solanae Dyson Sphere.
Missions involved
- “Delta Flight”: The existence of the Herald Sphere is discovered by Lieutenant Commander Miral Paris during a Delta Flight operation.
- “The Herald Sphere”: The Alliance dispatches a task force to attack the sphere and disrupt the gateway network.
- “Broken Circle”: During the assault on the Herald Sphere, M'Tara's flagship is heavily damaged and retreats through a gateway into the Herald Sphere.

Note
- In contrast to the Solanae, Jenolan, and Andromeda Dyson Spheres, the Herald Sphere appears to be considerably smaller, lacking a central star and offering no habitable inner surface resembling that of a class M planet. There is however a star close-by to the sphere.
