BOK

BOK (or Beguiler Operator K) was a cybernetically enhanced and the eleventh Ferengi operative of Beguiler Operators, artifact and bounty hunter aboard the Jade Fox in the late 24th century. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X)

History

Sometime from the mid to late 24th century, BOK was part of a program called the "Beguiler Operators", where a group of Ferengi were cybernetically modified by Professor Gast to enhance their dealing and bargaining abilities. Each Ferengi Beguiler Operator member was alphabetically named with a letter appended to the ancronym "BO", with BOK being the eleventh on that list. BOK described the program as "hinky" and "competitive". ("Devil's Leftovers", "Celestial Dynamics", "Archaeological Anarchy")

In 2393, BOK was serving aboard the renegade Jade Fox with Arlene and Zeta, hunting artifacts, bounties and trading. When an ancient clue to the Amakun was remotely activated to lead them a Covalesence under threat of an ongoing polaron pulse, he discovered the pulse was originating from a set of Ancient Breen doors on the planet. There, while being joined by an away team from the USS Phoenix-X and co-Beguiler BOB, he confirmed the authenticity of the doors before they were opened and the Amakun was discovered. During this, he expressed his distaste for his past in the Beguiler Operator program. After the entity inside was freed, he captured the artifact pieces and claimed they would be only worth half as much. He and his crew were then quick to return to the Jade Fox and cloak in escape.
