A turkey is a bird that exists on Planet Earth and Mobius. It is traditionally eaten on Christmas Day. They also have a distinctive "gobble" sound.
Turkeys in Sonic the Comic
Turkeys that are found in Sonic the Comic range from perfectly normal Mobians to those that are eaten for food:
- Basil Poultry is the only named turkey to have appeared in a story. He is the Zone Leader of the Tower Hill Zone and was responsible for organising the first Christmas celebration following the defeat of Doctor Ivo Robotnik. Unfortunately, when so many things went wrong, Poultry snapped and "cancelled Christmas", ruining everyone's fun. After being stopped by Tails, he realised what Christmas was really all about.
- Turkeys are also eaten on Mobius. In Happy Christmas Doctor Robotnik, Sally Acorn expressed her excitement for the turkey burgers that were served during the "Christmas rave".
- During their travels through the Ring of Eternity, Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary landed in the dream of somebody worried about providing for their family at Christmas. The man in question was confronted by a large snowman, Christmas pudding and giant living turkey.
