Sergeant Claw is a bat from the Nameless Zone, part of a rival group to the fox population.
History
Shortly before Miles "Tails" Prower had left to make the Emerald Hill Zone his new home, Sergeant Claw and Captain Tooth happened upon Witless Chris bullying the young fox. Tooth was able to overhear Chris' boasts that he battled six bears every day before breakfast. Despite being skeptical about the accuracy of the claims, Claw still believed that he would be good sport in the Arena of Doom and captured Witless. Tails followed them, in the process learning he could fly for the first time. The aerial fox quickly took out Claw, forcing him to drop Chris and flee.
