A golem is an animated being created from inanimate matter. One in particular is a stone monster from the Shining Force universe, owned by Baron Kadavaar.
History
Early on in the mission to free Zeon from his eternal prison, Baron Kadavaar learned that his robot, Zynk, had betrayed him and fled to Granseal Island to speak with Maximillian and his family. Kadavaar set out to retrieve him, bringing the golem along with him as protection. Upon landing in town, the golem lifted a peasant into the air whilst Kadavaar interrogated him about Zynk's whereabouts. The golem quickly gripped the villager's neck, forcing him to hastily reveal the robot's location. He was then roughly dropped by the golem.
Soon after, the golem punched his way through Maximillian's door and grabbed hold of Zynk's arm. For its troubles, the golem took a kick to the face from Taya before clattering both her and Bowie with one arm. Continuing with its mission, the golem was able to pull Zynk outside before his target was teleported elsewhere by Max.
