Choy is a hybrid of a porcupine and a beaver. He and his manatee partner Hobson are criminals from the planet Drak who first appeared in Sonic the Comic Issue 121.
History
Hobson and Choy were arrested by Drakon authorities for defacing a statue of Emperor Ko-Dorr. As they were escorted to jail, Hobson attacked the guards while Choy swiped a Prosecutor staff and opened a Mobius Ring. Without knowing where they were going, the pair leapt into the ring and arrived in the lair of Dr. Robotnik on Planet Mobius. The doctor approached the two strangers and told them he was once the benevolent ruler of Mobius, until his throne was usurped by the "evil" Sonic the Hedgehog. The opportunistic Choy offered his services to Robotnik and promised the doctor that Sonic would be brought to justice. Robotnik then opened a Mobius Ring to the Emerald Hill Zone, ordering Hobson and Choy to capture Sonic and bring him back. When they arrived, they encountered Sonic and attacked. Well, Hobson did anyway. Choy had a "sudden cramp", complaining of an old wound (one of the oldest excuses in the book). Choy hid behind a wagon whilst Sonic and Hobson fought, springing out when he thought Sonic had already been weakened. He attacked Sonic but the hedgehog only needed a finger to hold him back, and then sent Choy flying. Realising they were no match for Sonic, Choy contacted Robotnik and told him that they were "successful", vanishing back through a Mobius Ring.
Choy and Hobson would appear again in Sonic the Comic Online, aiding KBC's smear campaign against Sonic. Along with Hobson, he also worked for Fox on the Miles Prauer Power Hour. During The Battle for Mobius, Choy recorded all the action he could to build up ratings, with no regard for the suffering of the people who were fighting for their lives. This continued following Super Sonic's attack on the planet, although it could be argued that he was pointing out the obvious holes in the Emerald Hill Zone's defences that Robotnik could exploit.
Personality
Choy is nothing but a coward. He talks big, but he is lazy usually hangs back and lets Hobson sort his problems out for him. He can also be opportunistic, seizing any chance to earn acclaim regardless of how immoral it may be.
Abilities
Choy has no abilities. He's weak, he's stupid and he's always falling back on Hobson to help him.
