Weogar was a city-state located on the homeworld of the sentient Bith species, the planet Bith. Weogar entered into a short-lived civil war with Nozho, another city-state on Bith, around three centuries before the Galactic Civil War. The two cities launched biological, chemical and mutagenic weapons against each other, shattering Bith's ecosystem and ultimately killing the majority of the world's population. This led to the world being quarantined and a dramatic shift in Bith culture.[1]
Behind the scenes
Weogar was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Fully Operational, a 2018 roleplaying supplement produced by Fantasy Flight Games for the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion system.[1] The city originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the 1989 roleplaying supplement Galaxy Guide 4: Alien Races, which was written by Troy Denning for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[2]
