- "Sir, we intercepted a coded transmission between Senator Organa and the Jedi Council. We were able to partially unscramble it. The Jedi have sent Senator Organa to Toydaria to negotiate a treaty which would allow them to send relief supplies to their forces on Ryloth."
- ―TA1313, to Count Dooku
TA1313 was a T-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid who was part of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' navy during the Clone Wars. In 22 BBY, the tactical droid served in the personal flotilla of Separatist leader Count Dooku. In that year, when the Separatist Droid Army launched an invasion of the planet Ryloth, TA1313 intercepted a coded transmission between the Jedi High Council and Senator Bail Organa of the Galactic Republic.
After intercepting the transmission, he explained that Organa was dispatched to the planet Toydaria in order to discuss its usage as a staging ground to send relief supplies to the citizens of Ryloth. At Dooku's behest, TA1313 relayed a message to Trade Federation Senator Lott Dod as the count wished to speak with him.
Biography
- "Send a message to Senator Lott Dod of the Trade Federation. I wish to speak with him immediately."
- ―Dooku, after hearing the message, orders TA1313 to contact Lott Dod
A T-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid[2] manufactured by Baktoid Combat Automata,[1] TA1313 served as part of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' naval forces during[2] the first year[4] of the Clone Wars against the Galactic Republic. The tactical droid was stationed aboard the Providence-class Dreadnought flagship of Separatist Head of State Count Dooku, for whom the droid was responsible in delivering messages. Later in the war, the confederate government launched an invasion of the Outer Rim world of Ryloth in which the Confederacy met opposition from a small Republic garrison of clone troopers commanded by Jedi General Ima-Gun Di on the surface alongside a relief supply fleet led by Admiral Dao in orbit.[2]

Raging in battle, the Separatist forces pushed the Republic to their limits. Depleted in resources on both fronts, the Republic admiral contacted the Jedi High Council on the Republic capital world of Coruscant, attempting to deliver immediate relief effort to the starved and war-torn Twi'lek population. Dao's message and subsequent death prompted the Jedi Order to contact Senator Bail Organa of the planet Alderaan in regards to the situation.[2]
Amid the conversation between the Organa and the Jedi, TA1313, aboard Dooku's flagship, was able to intercept and partially unscramble their coded transmission. Delivering the message to Dooku during his meditation, the tactical droid explained that the Republic was to dispatch Organa to the planet Toydaria in order to arrange a treaty with the Toydarian King Katuunko, which would provide the Republic access to transfer relief supplies to their dwindling forces and starved population on Ryloth. In response, Dooku ordered TA1313 to transmit a message to Senator Lott Dod of the Trade Federation, wishing to discuss the matter with the Neimoidian in an effort to prevent Organa in succeeding with his negotiations.[2]
Characteristics
A T-series tactical droid, TA1313[2] stood at 1.93 meters in height.[3] The droid also had red sensors and beige- and blue-colored plating.[2]
Behind the scenes
TA1313 was introduced in "Supply Lines,"[2] the third episode of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series' third season, which aired on September 24, 2010.[5] The droid was identified in the episode's credits as the T-series tactical droid TX-20,[2] who appeared in "Innocents of Ryloth,"[6] the twentieth episode of the series' first season, released on March 6, 2009.[7] The article assumes the droid's identification as TX-20 to be an error due to the difference in plating color.
The droid, voiced by Phil LaMarr,[5] was later identified in the Disney+ non–English language credits for the episode as TA1313.[2] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, TA-1313 was first identified in the "Card Assault" expansion to the Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures online game,[8] released in 2012.[9]
