Elder Sy'Son was a a member of a species on[1] the planet[2] Escalan.[1] Between around 8 BBY and 2 BBY,[3] a week after the smuggler Han Solo[1] was dumped on Escalan after he was shot by the Rodian bounty hunter Greedo,[2] Sy'Son traveled with another individual to see Doctor Aber, who had requested the presence of the elder after Solo had awoken earlier that day. When the pair arrived, Aber took them to Solo's body and informed them of Solo's awakening, as well as that he had said a few words. When questioned by the other individual as to what had been said, the doctor replied that they were strange words, Han Solo.[1]
