Aber was a doctor who was a member of a species on[1] the planet[2] Escalan.[1] Between around 8 BBY and 2 BBY,[3] the smuggler Han Solo was dumped on Escalan after he was shot by the Rodian bounty hunter Greedo,[2] two younger members of Aber's species brought Solo to Aber. Although she did not have knowledge that she needed of human anatomy, she did her best to save him as he was very close to death. A week later, Solo awoke, informing the doctor of his name, though she did not understand and considered his words to be strange. Aber requested the presence of informed Elder Sy'Son, who arrived with another individual. As she led them to Solo's body, she informed the pair of Solo's awakening and what he had said.[1]
