Skynara was an astronomical object located in the Outer Rim Territories[1] and Trailing Sectors,[2] positioned in grid square P-19 of the Standard Galactic Grid. Skynara was located on a hyperspace route that branched out toward Spice Terminus, Suarbi, and Vohai.[1] In 34 ABY,[3] several screens aboard Chandrila Star Line's Star Cruiser Halcyon displayed a partial map of the galaxy that indicated Skynara's position.[4]

Behind the scenes

Skynara was first shown in the current Star Wars canon on a map in the article Where in the Galaxy Are the Worlds of Star Wars: The Force Awakens?, published on StarWars.com on January 29, 2016. While its name was not visible on the map,[5] Skynara was later identified by name in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a roleplaying boxed set published by Fantasy Flight Games[1] in August 2016.[6] Skynara's first in-universe appearance came in the form of being depicted on a map viewable in Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, an immersive roleplaying experience at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida[4] that opened to the public on March 1, 2022.[7]

In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Skynara was first mentioned in Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim, a supplement to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Simon Smith and Eric S. Trautmann and published in 1993.[8]
