- "It is said that millennia ago, the Chiss adventured into Lesser Space, taking part in wars between two hostile factions over vast and ever-shifting regions."

The Sith Wars (c. 5000 BBY–1032 BBY)[2] were a series of conflicts that were fought between the Jedi Order and the Sith that were fought for control of the galaxy.[17]
History
Great Hyperspace War
The Great Hyperspace War[8] was a conflict that was fought between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. According to the Qel-Droma Epics, the Great Hyperspace War took place in approximately 5000 BBY, and was initiated when the Sith Empire invaded the planet Empress Teta, formerly Koros Major, which had recently been conquered by Empress Teta. After the outbreak of the Great Hyperspace War, Teta supposedly worked alongside the Jedi Order to fight against the Sith, successfully driving back the Sith Lord Naga Sadow and scattering the Sith forces across the galaxy.[14]
Great Sith War
The Great Sith War was a conflict between the Jedi Order and Sith. According to Jedi Master Oppo Rancisis, the Jedi won the war.[11]
Resurgence of the Sith
The resurgence of the Sith was a conflict fought between the Jedi Order and the Sith Order approximately four thousand years before the Clone Wars. Due to the desperate nature of the conflict, it saw many Jedi practicing the Form VII lightsaber technique also know as "Juyo".[13]
The Chiss become involved
Around 3650 BBY, the Chiss species become involved in the wars of the Galactic Republic[2] and the Sith Empire. The Chiss Ascendancy encountered a number of aliens before retreating to their borders[1] around 3450 BBY.[2]
Legacy
Cervil the Uncanny, a Jedi who fought in the conflict, left behind testimonies about members of the Jedi Order using lightwhips in order to defend against Forbidden Forms used by the Sith.[18]
The Forbidden District located on the planet Exegol housed derelict shipyard forges that dated back to the Sith Wars.[17] Vurk Jedi Master Harli Cogra's book Chronicles of the Jedi, written in the weeks following the destruction of Starlight Beacon[19] in 230 BBY[2] made mention of the ancient wars between the Jedi and Sith.[19]
