Sear was a human female who was a member of the Orphans, a group active during the reign of the Galactic Empire led by the bounty hunter Chanath Cha. Like the other members of the Orphans, Sear lived up to the group's name, her parents having died long before. The Orphans allied with the criminal syndicate Crimson Dawn, led by Lady Qi'ra, serving in Qi'ra's plan to destroy the Sith Darth Sidious and Darth Vader. As part of the plan, the Orphans, including Sear, anonymously struck against the various other syndicates to sow havoc and distrust in the underworld and turn the syndicates against one another.[2] Sear was lated killed during a battle with Vader on a planet when she was Force pushed by the Sith Lord into the wreckage of a machine that had housed the Fermata Cage.[3]
