Science droids were a class of droid.[1] A model of hovering, four-limbed science droid[2] and medical droid[3] was utilized by the Galactic Republic[4] and the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars.[5] The RH-series research droid was a humanoid science droid, manufactured by Cybot Galactica as a variant of its 2R-series medical droid, that was active during the time of the Galactic Civil War.[1]
