Rubies were a type of red[1] gemstone. Considered highly valuable, variants included fire rubies[2] and Novian rubies.[3] The Dathomirian witch Falta gathered ruby-colored berries to use in the magical ritual in which she created her daughter Yenna, and as a result, Yenna's lips came out the same hue.[1]
