A refugee was any individual who had been forced to leave his or her home in order to escape war, persecution, or a natural disaster. Left to their own devices, such displaced populations sometimes risked enslavement at the hands of unscrupulous individuals. During the Clone Wars, a growing number of sentients across the galaxy found themselves in that situation, which prompted Bail Organa of Alderaan to organize a conference addressing the issue.[1] Pabu was a planet where many refugees from the war ended up.[2] The Magys's people were refugees who fled from their world, Sunrise.[3]
