Pokkit

"I bounty-hunt for a private client now. No more low-rent Guild jobs."
"Lucky you."
"So don't worry. I'm just here for some R&R. I haven't even checked the pucks."

Pokkit was a female bounty hunter active during the New Republic Era. Having previously worked low-rent jobs for the Bounty Hunters' Guild, she began working for a private client. During a rest and relaxation visit to the Skull Ridge Mountain Hotel & Spa on the planet Lanupa around 9 ABY, she encountered a human that she knew as "Dash Zentin" who had previously stolen a bounty from her and left her in a pit of leeches.

After their encounter, the bounty hunter contacted the pirate Captain Brutus, who had placed a bounty on Zentin, and provided him with Zentin's coordinates; however, Brutus refused to pay the bounty until he captured the target. Pokkit then met with the pirates Brutus sent to the spa and joined them in hunting Zentin. After the pirates successfully captured Nawood and the droid SM-33, Pokkit mocked him before the pirates escaped Lanupa with him.

Left with the leeches

"How long has it been?"
"Since you stole my bounty and left me drowning in a pit of leeches?"
"No hard feelings? Hmm?"
"None whatsoever."

Pokkit was a female bounty hunter who at one stage took low rent jobs for the Bounty Hunters' Guild, although one of her bounties was stolen by a human who she knew as "Dash Zentin." After he left her in a pit of leeches, Pokkit tried to track him down, but no one she asked had ever heard of a "Dash Zentin." She later began working for a private client, and so no longer needed to take work from the Guild.[1]

During the New Republic Era[1] around 9 ABY,[2] Pokkit visited the Skull Ridge Mountain Hotel & Spa on the planet Lanupa for some rest and relaxation, booking a hot bacta soak. Shortly before the soak, she spotted "Zentin" at the spa's reception desk, where he was bribing a member of staff to check him in without a reservation. The human was on Lanupa searching for the lair of legendary pirate Captain Tak Rennod with a group of children who knew him as Jod Na Nawood.[1]

Dubious Dash

"Zentin, Silvo, whatever you call him, I'm claiming your bounty."
"Where is the cowardly wretch?"
"Here is the coordinates. Now how about my payment?"
"You'll have your payment when I have Silvo. I'm sending two ships."

Pokkit approached Na Nawood, who greeted her in a friendly fashion but only remembered the first half of her name. The bounty hunter reminded him of the nature of their last encounter but claimed there was no bad blood between them, although she also brought up the failed search for anyone with the name "Dash Zentin." After mentioning her client, Pokkit then informed Na Nawood that she had not even checked the bounty pucks during her visit and so he had no need to worry, although as she left for the bacta soak she warned Na Nawood's child companions not to trust him.[1]

Pokkit then discovered that there was a bounty on Na Nawood's head posted by his former pirate crew, who had mutinied against him while he used the name "Captain Silvo." She contacted their new captain, Brutus, via hologram[1] in one of the spa's hotel rooms[3] and provided him with Na Nawood's coordinates; however, Brutus refused to pay her until he had taken Na Nawood captive. He informed the bounty hunter that he would be sending two ships of pirates to apprehend Na Nawood and ordered her to tell no one about it, which Pokkit agreed to.[1]

Pokkit and the pirates

Once the pirates arrived at the spa, Pokkit joined them in hunting Na Nawood. The bounty and his child allies had headed into tunnels beneath the spa where Rennod's lair was located and were also being pursued by the spa's security. Pokkit and the pirates came across several guards in the tunnels and took two captive while the pirate Gunter shot and killed a third. They then reached a chamber where Na Nawood had drained a pool of acid to reach the entrance to the lair inside it and opened fire on Na Nawood and he sealed the entrance behind him. Na Nawood then refilled the pool with acid.[1]

When Na Nawood later emerged from the lair back into the spa—without the children and hauling large amounts of treasure—Pokkit and the pirates were waiting for him. As the pirate Beef and a Weequay grabbed Na Nawood and disarmed him, Pokkit smiled and waved at her bounty. Na Nawood's droid SM-33 then also emerged from the lair, but was immediately stunned by an ion blast, and the pirates began marching Na Nawood toward their starship. As he moved, Pokkit threw an arm around him and mockingly claimed it had been good running into him again, giving him a kiss on the cheek. New Republic X-wing starfighters then arrived at the spa, causing the pirates to scramble and rush back to their ship with Na Nawood and SM-33. One of the pirate's vessels was destroyed by the starfighters, but the remaining pirates escaped.[4]

Personality and traits

"No, no, no, no, no. Listen, that nice lady is a ruthless bounty hunter with a bad grudge. Most likely she's already called my name in."
―Jod Na Nawood — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[1]

Pokkit had a grudge against Jod Na Nawood, who described her as lovely but ruthless. She had[1] pale[3] white eyes, white hair, and[1] chalky[3] white skin. She spoke with[1] a harsher form of the clipped accent commonly found in the Core Worlds.[5]

Equipment

At the spa, Pokkit wore a black outfit including fingerless gloves, black boots, and a brown belt with a pair of stuncuffs and a holstered blaster pistol on it. She also wore the white and purple floral neckwear granted to the spa's guests on arrival.[1]

Behind the scenes

Pokkit was portrayed by Kelly Macdonald in the live-action Disney+ series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, first appearing in the fifth episode, "You Have a Lot to Learn About Pirates,"[1] which aired on December 24, 2024.[6]

  2. Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of "Chapter 1: The Mandalorian" of The Mandalorian Season One to 9 ABY. In addition, "A Certain Point of View" — Star Wars Insider 228 also dates "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" to nine years after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 9 ABY per Timelines. "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" takes place after the conflict on Mandalore, which is the main event depicted in "Chapter 23: The Spies" and "Chapter 24: The Return," the final two episodes of The Mandalorian Season Three. Therefore, Seasons One through Three of The Mandalorian must all be set in 9 ABY as well. StarWars.com SWCA 2022: 20 Highlights from Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase on StarWars.com (backup link) states that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew takes place in the same timeframe as The Mandalorian and Ahsoka—the latter of which can also be dated to 9 ABY following the reasoning here. As such, Skeleton Crew must take place around 9 ABY as well.
