- "Geonosians called picadors ride orrays in the arena. They use rods to cruelly prod and zap the other beasts to keep them in line."
- ―An artist, in his journal
Picadors,[3] also known as Geonosian picadors[4] or Geonosian wranglers, were Geonosians who rode orrays in the Petranaki Arena.[3] During the unsuccessful attempted execution of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padmé Amidala, picadors were tasked with ensuring that the creatures deployed to execute the trio kept their focus on the prisoners. One such picador attempted to control a nexu with its static pike and was consequently eaten by the deadly creature.[1]
Behind the scenes
Picadors first appeared in the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.[1]
