Petrusia

Petrusia was a planet[3] situated in the regions known as the Expansion Region[1] and The Slice.[2] It was situated in grid square P-12 of the Standard Galactic Grid,[1] and was the homeworld of the Petrusian species.[3]

Sometime between 19 BBY and 10 BBY,[5] during their reign of the galaxy, the Galactic Empire seized control of Petrusia and enslaved the Petrusians at the Imperial outpost on the[4] planet[6] Kullgroon.[4] Shortly after the planet was seized, the smuggler Lando Calrissian traded arms with the Petrusian resistance fighter Kristiss and bypassed the Empire's defenses with ease.[4] In 10 BBY,[5] after being hired by Kristiss, Calrissian and his droid companion L3-37 helped free the Petrusian slaves from the Kullgroon outpost. Kristiss and her father Rythus led the liberated Petrusians back to their homeworld in order to rebuild it.[7]

Behind the scenes

Petrusia was first mentioned in the first issue of the Star Wars: Lando - Double or Nothing comic series, which was written by Rodney Barnes, illustrated by Paolo Villanelli,[4] and published on May 30, 2018.[8] It was pictured on a map created for the reference book Star Wars: Timelines and published as part of a blog post on StarWars.com on May 27, 2022 prior[9] to the book's release during Celebration Europe[10] of April 7 through 10, 2023.[11]
