Oxygen was a gas that humans and many other species breathed.[2] However, some species did not breathe oxygen, such as the Kel Dors,[3] the Gand,[4] and the Morseerians.[5] Planets with oxygen-rich atmospheres were referred to as "Type I atmospheres."[6]
