Ottethan was an astronomical object that was one of the homeworlds[1] of the semi-sentient[2] rancor species, along with Felucia[1] and Dathomir.[3]

Behind the scenes

Ottethan was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the 2019 young-readers reference book Star Wars: Creatures vs. Aliens written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] The planet Ottethan was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity in 1992 via Dark Empire 3, the third issue of the Star Wars: Dark Empire series of comic books written by Tom Veitch.[4]
