Kranor[3] was a Trandoshan hunter who assassinated the Kel Dor senator Mirim Kess during the Galactic Civil War on Kewwil.[1]

Biography

A Bounty hunter with a fearsome reputation, Kranor had a long association with the Spice Runners of Kijimi. In the months following the Battle of Endor, Zeva Bliss had him kept on retainer for debt collections and assassination contracts. At the time, Zeva had allied herself to Grand Moff Ubrik Adelhard's Imperial remnant.[4] Adelhard had recently suffered his first defeat[5] and was seeking vengeance. Adelhard provided Bliss with a list of New Republic targets he wished to see dead. Bliss forwarded this list to Kranor, who proceeded to hunt down Senator Mirim Kess, who was in hiding on Kewwil. After killing Kess by shooting him with his E-5C heavy blaster rifle, Kranor contacted Tomasso, the advisor to Bliss, and informed him that he was headed for the next target on the list.[1]

Kranor then headed to Chandrila in pursuit of Luke Skywalker, eager for the opportunity to face a Jedi in battle. Kranor found General Skywalker in Hanna City and attacked him with a Lightsaber-resistant electrosword. Though Kranor was not Force-sensitive, his strength, weapons, and armor enabled him to overpower the young Jedi Master. As Kranor raised his blaster to deal a killing blow, he was disarmed by a blaster shot by Leia Skywalker Organa Solo, who was accompanied by a security detail. Kranor was forced to retreat, but not before telling the Skywalker twins and their allies that none of them were safe.[6]

Kranor was next deployed to Adelhard's flagship, the Scepter, to assist Reyna Oskure and Kith Alaytia in their mutiny against Adelhard. Kranor fought Adelhard's Master-At-Arms, Commander Bragh, and defeated him, disappointed that the Purge Trooper did not put up as strong a fight as he hoped. Kranor then proceeded to place Adelhard, Bragh, and stormtroopers still loyal to Adelhard into an Escape pod that had been sabotaged to ensure that it would impact hard onto the surface of a nearby planet. He then stood beside Oskure on the bridge of the Scepter as she informed the New Republic that she was the new Commander of Adelhard's forces.[3]

Equipment

Kranor wore Lightsaber-resistant Beskar armor. His primary weapons were a E-5C heavy blaster rifle and an electrosword that, like his armor, was resistant to lightsaber strikes.
