K-series

KP1-ObiWanKenobiPartV

The K-series[1] was a type of astromech droids who were active during the Imperial[2] and New Republic Eras.[3] Their heads resembled the R-series line of astromechs, particularly the R2 series astromech droids. In 9 BBY,[4] KP-1, a masculine astromech droid[1] associated with the Hidden Path,[2] was found on the planet Jabiim.[2] During the New Republic Era around in 9 ABY[5] a few K-series astromechs could be found on the droid bar The Resistor, on Plazir-15.[3]
