Imperial medic

Imperial medics were combat medic personnel of the Imperial Army who were responsible for providing first aid and frontline trauma care on the battlefield for the Galactic Empire. In addition to droid helpers[1] and Imperial Mobile Surgical Units—a model of prefabricated medcenters[3]—the medics benefited from cutting-edge medical technology such as pain-relieving gas and antiseptic field projectors.[1] Despite their status as healers, Imperial medics bore arms against aliens in combat, as the Empire interpreted the galaxy's ancient medical oaths as only applying to one's own species. Medics wore a distinctive white duty bicep band that bore a red symbol.[2]
