INS-444

The INS-444,[1] also known as the window installer droid, was a model of installer droid designed to install the windows of buildings[2] with their INS-444 magnatomic grip pads. Part of the world's small army of maintenance droids,[1] they were used on the planet Coruscant to install the windows of buildings many levels above the planet's surface. As seen through the unit Mick, window installer droids were given individual names that were placed on their bodies.[3]

History

An INS-444 unit replaced a broken window panel in Senator Padmé Amidala's apartment, after Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi smashed through it in pursuit of an ASN-121 unit.[3]
