Hintian

Hintians were the inhabitants of the planet Hintis IV. They established a vast civilization on their homeworld that lasted for thousands of years, establishing cities including Belax.[1] In 429 BBY,[2] their system's star Hintis began to bloat and die, resulting in Hintians fleeing from their world and their cities dwindling.[1] Around 279 BBY,[2] the exodus climaxed in a full-scale evacuation assisted by the Galactic Republic.[1] In 229 BBY,[2] Jedi Knight Bell Zettifar mentally reflected on the history of Hintians and their exodus while at a base the Republic Defense Coalition set up on Hintis IV.[1]

Behind the scenes

Hintians were mentioned in the 2023 novel The High Republic: The Eye of Darkness, written by George Mann and published as a part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[3]
