- "Ready the portside cannons."
"Aye. Shall I open fire?" - ―Melis Shryke and Glix
Glix was a human female Nihil marauder who served as the gunner of the Cacophony, the Stormship of the Storm Melis Shryke, during the High Republic Era. Prior to an attempted raid in the Seswenna sector in 228 BBY, Shryke ordered Glix to fire upon a cargo ship that approached the Cacophony. The cargo ship held the Jedi Masters Avar Kriss and Porter Engle, who boarded the Cacophony despite Glix's cannon fire, and many of Shryke's crew subsequently fled the vessel in escape pods.
Biography
- "Glix, take your shot."
- ―Shryke orders Glix to fire on the cargo ship

The hulking human female Glix was a member of the Nihil marauders during the High Republic Era.[1] By 228 BBY,[2] Glix was part of the crew of the Storm Melis Shryke within General[1] Abediah Viess's[3] Ministry of Protection, serving as the gunner aboard Shryke's[1] Stormship,[4] the Cacophony.[1] By that year,[2] Shryke and the crew of the Cacophony undertook a series of raids outside the edge of the Occlusion Zone, the Nihil's territory surrounded by the Stormwall barrier.[1]
After the Nihil expanded the Occlusion Zone to claim more space in response to an attempted assault on the Stormwall by the Galactic Republic and Jedi Order, Shryke planned to perform a raid on the planet Reventine, located in the part of the Seswenna sector that was outside the Stormwall. While Shryke's starship waited inside the Occlusion Zone[1] above Seswenna,[5] a planet in the Seswenna system[6] of the same sector, a cargo ship approached, secretly carrying the Jedi Masters Avar Kriss and Porter Engle, who intended to hijack the Cacophony and use its Path engine to escape Nihil space. Shryke, distrusting the cargo ship despite its Nihil markings, ordered Glix to ready the portside cannons.[1]
When the cargo ship hailed the Cacophony, Shryke ordered Glix to hold their fire. The cargo ship's pilot claimed to be carrying a weapons shipment from Viess, but Shryke commanded the gunner to fire on the vessel when it continued to approach. Despite Glix's efforts, the Jedi successfully boarded the Cacophony, and many of Shryke's crew fled in escape pods. Viess's ship, the Foregone Catastrophe, arrived shortly afterward but ignored the distress calls of the Nihil in the pods to instead focus on preventing the Jedi's escape. The Nihil were ultimately unsuccessful, with Kriss capturing the Cacophony and escaping the Occlusion Zone while Engle and Viess disappeared following a duel aboard the Foregone Catastrophe.[1]

As The High Republic Adventures (2023) 4 takes place one year and two weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY. Since the events of The High Republic Adventures (2023) 6 are set immediately following the fourth issue and depict the expansion of the Stormwall, the events in The High Republic: The Eye of Darkness following the expansion must take place in the same year.
