Gabs

Gabs was a friend of Cal Kestis and member of the Stinger Mantis crew. She was a syndicate-trained slicer, and used her skills to enrich herself while fighting the Galactic Empire.[2]

Biography

During the Imperial era, Gabs served Saw Gerrera taking missions to disrupt the Empire with his Partisans. She was also a member of the Stinger Mantis crew during their crusade against the Empire.[2]

On at least one occasion, she saved Kestis' life, remarking that he owed her a ship for saving him on Carida.[2]

Gabs participated in the crew's mission to Level 2046 on Coruscant to steal classified Imperial information aboard the yacht of Senator Daho Sejan. She joked with Kestis that she wanted the Mantis if he didn't make it out. During the mission, she bet Koob and Lizz, the twin Klatooinians in the crew, that the Senator had Kestis stuffed and mounted on his yacht.[2]

Gabs sliced into the yacht to prevent Sejan from calling for help, then helped Kestis remove hazards during his infiltration of the ship. With the assistance of Cal's droid BD-1, whom she affectionally referred to as her lovely assistant, Gabs sliced into the yacht's blast doors, the senator's final defense, allowing the crew to successfully download the intelligence. Whilst in the yacht's lounge area, Gabs declared she wanted the ship for her own, having never been in a Senator's ship before. She had, however, blown one up once. She also told the crew that she liked stealing objects to sell for credits during missions to get something back for her efforts. Having witnessed the opulence aboard the yacht, she concluded that the Empire made the Hutts look clean in comparison.[2]

The crew was soon ambushed by the Ninth Sister of the Inquisitorius, who executed the Senator for harboring Kestis. In the ensuing chaos, Gabs was shot in the back by a LAAT/le patrol gunship while protecting Cal.[2]

Personality and traits

Confident and gutsy, Gabs relished every opportunity to demonstrate her superiority over Imperial slicers, often with the help of her 'partner-in-crime' BD-1.[2] She was also fiercely loyal to her crew, which was demonstrated in her taking a fatal blaster bolt to save Kestis' life.

Gabs was a trusted ally of Kestis. Kestis considered her to be a close friend, and kept a photograph of Gabs, alongside himself, Bravo, Koob, and Lizz onboard the Mantis.
