LazuLirona

Fringers were a class of individuals. For a long time, they remained indifferent to galaxy-wide politics along with pirates, smugglers, and scoundrels, believing that any kind of authority could be dangerous to their freedom. During the New Republic Era, fringers assumed that the New Republic had limited reach in enforcing intraplanetary law—a view they drastically changed when the First Order rose to power.[1] In 35 ABY,[2] several fringers, such as Lazu Lirona, participated in the Battle of Exegol,[1] a battle that resulted in Darth Sidious's death and brought an end to his First Order and Final Order regimes.[3]

Behind the scenes

Fringers made their canonical debut in Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, a J.J. Abrams movie that was the ninth episode of the Star Wars saga,[3] which premiered on December 20, 2019.[4] The term was first used in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary by Pablo Hidalgo, released in the same year.[1]
