The Erkush was a creature native to the planet Kalee where members of the native Kaleesh species would make masks out of their bones. One such mask was owned by Dok-Ondar.[1]
Behind the scenes
Erkush were first mentioned in the Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities store at the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge theme park land,[1] which opened to guests at Disneyland Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2019.[2] The Erkush originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they were first mentioned in Crosscurrent, a book written by Paul S. Kemp released on January 26, 2010.[3]
