A doublet was a clothing item sometimes worn by nobles.
During a disastrous Grand Hunt on Pijal, the droid that was the subject of the hunt was re-programmed to attack Princess Fanry, who was soon to assume the role of queen. In the aftermath of the chaos, a noble whined about his torn doublet, which had ripped to reveal the entire gold satin lining and which was now felt to be too gaudy to be worn anywhere.[1]
