Birds or avians were a group of organisms which included the convorees from the moon of Wasskah and the porgs of the ocean planet Ahch-To. Birds also lived on the arboreal planet Naboo, as well as the moon of Yavin 4 and the forest planet Rodia, where they were included in the diet of predatory Ghests.[2] Most birds had feathers, wings, and the ability to fly.[3] They were hatched from eggs.[4] Sentient avian species included Hiitians,[5] Snees,[6] and Whiforlans.[7]

Avians on a number of worlds would imprint on the first creature they saw once they emerged from their eggs.[4]
