- ―685's last words
685 was a B1-series battle droid that was stationed at a base on Orto Plutonia during the Clone Wars that was destroyed in a skirmish on Orto Plutonia.
Biography
685 was a Separatist B1-series battle droid during the Clone Wars During the early stages of the conflict, the Separatists established a base of operations on the snowy Outer Rim world of Orto Plutonia in the Pantora system, that was orbited by the moon of Pantora. The Galactic Republic also established their own outpost, Glid Station, at the behest of the Pantoran Assembly. After sometime, the Separatist activity provoked the native Talz, resulting in a skirmish that inadvertently resulted in Glid Station being caught in the conflict.[2]

During the skirmish, the Talz attacked the Separatist outpost forcing 685 to contact command that they were being overrun before being destroyed. By the end of the skirmish, both Separatist and Republic forces were annihilated. After the Republic lost communications with Glid Station, a team that consisted of clone cold assault troopers and led by Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, and accompanied by members of the Pantoran Assembly led by Chairman Chi Cho, arrived at Gild Station to investigate.[2]
During their investigation, they discovered the Separatist outpost and proceeded to inspect the base. During the analyzation of the base, they discovered a hologram recording of 685's last moments before being destroyed by a Talz.[2]
