- "On occasion, Idun has referenced the Asgard "leaving" the Milky Way, indicating either a planned withdrawal from this galaxy, or an acceptance of their likely demise. I much enjoy Idun's presence, short and enigmatic as her visits are, and find myself mourning the idea of her passing."
- ―Captain Selena Rodriguez[src]
Idun was an Asgard. She was one of their leading scientists in combating the replicators. She piloted a solitary science vessel.
Biography
She aided the team that built the first O'Neill-class ship.[2]
Phoenix-1 encountered her on their mission to P3X-762. She wasn't able to help them due to the Protected Planets Treaty, but she didn't hinder their efforts either to free the population from the Jaffa. The location of her ship drew the team to a shield generator that they disabled as part of their liberating the people.[2]
Kulera informed Idun about the Phoenix Alliance and since then Phoenix Site has had occasional contact with her. She's supportive of the Alliance.[2] (RPG: "Core Rulebook")
Personality
Idun is friendly overall. She has offered her insights on a variety of scientific problems mostly through her silence at significant moments that Phoenix scientists have learned to read. She's expressed interest in the Tau'ri way, which she finds less advanced but is sometimes more applicable than Asgard methods.[2]
She left an Asgard communicator with General P.K. Loyer, however she doesn't always respond. If she's busy she ignores messages. If she has no aid to give or if the Asgard High Council forbids her, she'll ignore the calls then as well, unlike Thor, who at least sends a busy message.[2] (RPG: "Core Rulebook")
