Fainting

Fainting is a medical term for a temporary loss of consciousness.

In 2004, Dr. Rodney McKay fainted twice during the Skirmish with the Shadow creature. He first fainted from hunger, as he hadn't been able to eat due to being unable to remove a Personal shield emitter. He then later passed out after he entered the Shadow creature and lured it out of Atlantis with a naquadah generator through the Stargate. (SGA: "Hide and Seek")

In 2006, during the Goa'uld attempt to destroy Atlantis, the Atlantis expedition needed a code to re-enable the ZPM failsafes. Dr. Peter Kavanagh was their prime suspect, but he was innocent, and didn't know it. Dr. Elizabeth Weir let Ronon Dex try to get the code from him and Kavanagh fainted under the threat of Ronon.
