Lieutenant Zakharchuk is a character who appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Background

Lieutenant Zakharchuk was one of the founding members of Duty and a member of General Tachenko's inner circle who conspired the communications break-down to desert the military and was eventually stuck in a Space anomaly during an artifact hunt. On the sixth day of the squad being stuck inside the anomaly, Colonel Kosmach suffered a nervous breakdown and shot both Bunchuk and Zakharchuk before killing himself.

Call of Pripyat

Zakharchuk's body appears at the Cooling Tower in Yanov after the player destroys the local Space Anomaly with a Svarog detector. He does not carry anything on his body, although a few weapons and a medkit will drop out of the anomaly when it is destroyed.
