Book Store

The Book Store, or Bookstore, is a location in Pripyat featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat and in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

Overview

A book store located in the south-western part of the city, not far from the map border in Call of Pripyat, where is used as an outpost by Monolith forces.

The Book Store is featured in the mission Monolith forces where the player (along with Vano and Sokolov, or Merkulov and Skelya) must clear the store as it was believed by Colonel Kovalsky the Monolith forces were responsible of the death of the Missing recon unit. The player must kill all the Monolith forces at the entrance, then clear up the back room where the Monolith fighters had set up a Monolith structure (similar to the one in the Palace of Culture in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl) to call upon their master. The player, however, is able to raid the store by themselves out of mission, and still investigate the structure.

In freeplay, random Loners and Mercenaries may explore the building.

Stashes

• Stash containing a SGI-5k, 120 rounds of 5.56x45mm SS109, two bandages and two RGD-5 grenades; located in the store's main lobby, on a shelf in the northwest corner.
• Stash containing three bandages, two first-aid kits, one radioprotectant and one anti-radiation drugs, located just outside the store, in a red bumper car to the south.
