Character

Tinkle is the Star house's pet sentient toilet. He first appears in the episode "Stair Wars" and is a recurring character in The Patrick Star Show.

Description

The Drooling Fool 139

Tinkle is a white toilet who usually has a gray chain attached to him. He has sharp, light yellow teeth on the underside of his lid and a tongue. In some episodes, he has a row of teeth on his toilet seat as well.

While Tinkle is referred to with male pronouns in "I Smell a Pat" and "The Drooling Fool," he gives birth in "10 & 1 Toilets." When Patrick asks if this means Tinkle is female, Dr. Plumber replies, "no, Tinkle's a toilet."

Role in series

"Stair Wars"

Tinkle is first seen in this episode, as the reason GrandPat does not like to use the upstairs bathroom. He is seen again chasing GrandPat after he fails to get to the downstairs bathroom because of Cecil.

"Squidina's Little Helper"

Tinkle briefly appears as Patrick puts him inside the TV when they are watching "The Crabina Show" and chases Fentin and Crabina.

"I Smell a Pat"

Tinkle appears after Patrick opens the door thinking that he is the reason of the horrible stench. However, as revealed by Bunny, she washes and cleans him every day. Then, she takes him on a walk.

"Gas Station Vacation"

Gas Station Vacation 156

He first appears in the family's car while Bunny holds his leash. When the family visits Gas Land, he goes with Patrick to the bathroom, and tries to flirt with a toilet. He is seen again as Marvin enters a bathroom stall to see him barking at a person on top of the toilet. Marvin catches him, just for him to be let go as Patrick lets the worms in Marvin's truck go, and eats Marvin. He is lastly seen as the family pushes the car, while Marvin comes out.

"Mid-Season Finale"

Tinkle appears as the focus of a black-and-white segment called "That's Tinkle." In it, his barking attracts people who think someone is stuck in a well; Tinkle bites them, and they fall in. The routine repeats multiple times, ending with a large stack of people seen coming out of the well.

"Shrinking Stars"

When the Star family shrink, they go swimming inside of the toilet. Tinkle begins barking at them angrily, chasing them away.

"Uncredible Journey"

Tinkle plays with Ouchie and Pinkeye, who put aside their differences when all three of them are together. When GrandPat tries to use the bathroom, he sees that they are busy and goes downstairs, but trips and breaks the house's other toilet. When a repairman comes, he mistakenly thinks Tinkle is the broken toilet and takes him away.

Tinkle and the pets end up in The Dump, where they team up to defeat a vicious worm. Tinkle forms the top of the disguise they wear, and helps out citizens by using his toilet water to put out fires. When they arrive home, they see a funeral being held for Tinkle, where everyone except GrandPat shares their memories of him. However, the pets eventually reveal themselves, and Cecil calls the funeral all. The family reunites with Tinkle, and the pets then attack Rube to eat his pie.

"Host-a-Palooza"

Bunny's vacuum act is interrupted when Tinkle bursts in and starts chasing the vacuum around. The audience reacts negatively, except Slappy, who says that he "loves toilet humor."

"Backpay Payback"

When Squidward and Granny Tentacles are trying to leave the bathroom, Tinkle interrupts them. Tinkle licks Squidward affectionately, until he insults it, causing it to bite his leg.

"House Hunting"

Tinkle joins the Star family when they search for their runaway house. When Squidina loses track of the house, Tinkle sniffs ahead and picks up on its scent.

"The Drooling Fool"

The Drooling Fool 160

Tinkle first appears in the bathroom, where is annoyed by Bunny's terrible singing. When Patrick's drool floods the bathroom, Tinkle bites Bunny in the butt. He then chases after the rest of the family and other civilians, swimming in the drool as they try to evade him. Dr. Plumber fixes Tinkle's problem by taking out his brain from his toilet lid and squeezing it, making him obedient again.

"Neptune's Ball"

Since pets aren't allowed in King Neptune's castle, Squidina is forced to leave Tinkle outside. Lady Upturn, who had her invitation stolen, teams up with Tinkle to get in. She paints him gold and hides in him, and the bouncer lets Tinkle through, believing him to be a toilet delivery. At the end of the episode, Upturn goes with Tinkle to the party in the Star family's front yard.

"Olly Olly Organ Free"

Patrick gives Tinkle a makeover, consisting of a pink wig, on his show.

"Patrick's Prison Pals"

Tinkle scares away Sockeye Sammy when he attempts to use the bathroom.

"10 & 1 Toilets"

Tinkle gives birth to 11 baby toilets, all which wreak havoc across the Star house. He later reappears around the end of the episode, teaming up with his children to defeat GrandPat.

"Family Plotz"

Tinkle plays fetch with GrandPat. Rather than catching the stick GrandPat threw, he brings back a corpse in his mouth. GrandPat playfully chases Tinkle around, eventually tiring himself out. Tinkle returns to roar at a mourner, scaring him out of his skin. He then bites the skin and shakes it.

"The Commode Episode"

Bunny returns home from a walk with Tinkle. She asks Cecil is the doorknob he is about to reinstall is a toilet treat, which Cecil decides to go along with, tossing it to Tinkle. This leaves Patrick stuck in the bathroom. Later, Daddy Dartfish tells Tinkle about this and he enters the bathroom through its toilet, returning the doorknob to Patrick.

"Is There a Director in the House?"

When Bubble Bass is briefly the director of the Patrick Show, Tinkle is among the many people he fires.

Trivia

  • Tinkle is similar to Squidward's toilet in that they are both sentient. The main difference is that while Squidward's toilet has human-level intelligence, Tinkle is more animalistic and doesn't speak.
